Trumpeter Rachel Therrien plays jazz that is not for sitting down. With her Latin Jazz Project, she performs a festive repertoire featuring original works and Afro-Latin jazz classics. A native of Rimouski, Quebec, Rachel has released eight albums since 2011. She draws from a wide range of influences across North and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. “Jazz is a philosophy of conversation between musicians from different backgrounds through improvisation,” she says. “And it is our mission to keep that spirit alive for future generations.”
