“I tell people about Ukraine through music,” Natasia Y says. She is a Ukrainian-born global fusion artist inspired by the multicultural city of Toronto, which she now calls home. Nastasia wrote and released her first album in 2013 (under the name Stacey Y) after completing her jazz piano degree at Humber College. She fuses funk, R&B, electro and jazz with Slavic folk music. Now the singer and keyboardist has released Kyiv Soul, a culmination of all her influences, exploring themes of love and war.
