Pianist Steve Holt has come full circle regarding Juno nominations. His first album in 1983 received a nomination and now his latest album, “Impact,” has received a 2026 nomination for Jazz Album of the Year (Group.) Born in Montreal, Steve was a child prodigy and became a graduate of McGill University. Steve’s music blends modern swing, Latin grooves and lyrical ballads. His quintet includes Kevin Turcotte on trumpet, Perry White on saxophones, Duncan Hopkins on bass and Terry Clarke on drums.
