Nancy Walker is everywhere in Canadian jazz. She has received many awards including the Montréal Jazz Festival’s Grand Prix de Jazz and the National Jazz Awards Keyboardist of the Year Award. She can be heard on numerous recordings as leader or side player and her compositions are highly regarded. One review in All About Jazz stated, “Walker’s music is easy on the ears, but don’t mistake that for lacking in interest or challenge, because she masks an advanced harmonic concept within an accessible veneer.”
