Canadian jazz vocalist, composer, educator and visual artist Kayla Ramu likes to tell stories in song. Sometimes she makes them up herself. Other times, she reinvents songs created by others. She draws inspiration especially from vocalists of the 1930s through the 1960s. Kayla has been singing professionally since the age of 12. In 2025, Kayla released her fourth album and first for children, “Hip Kids Music, Vol. 1,” earning a Juno nomination for Children’s Album of the Year.
