Dear Vendor:
We are pleased to extend an invitation for you to join us, and enclose an application to participate in the Markham Jazz Festival on August 18-19, 2007. Last year's festival was a great success, and we can expect the same again this year.
The Markham Jazz Festival, held annually on the third weekend in August, will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year. As well as Unionville Main Street, we will be expanding our programming and having top-rate jazz at the Historic Markham Museum.
Due to limitations on Unionville Main Street, all vendors will be placed on the Museum grounds in 2007. Along with the vendors, there will be performances all day Saturday, Saturday evening and during the day on Sunday. Booths will be located on the grounds of the Museum close to the performance area. The Museum is also erecting a large tent that will be used for some vendors, children’s activities and as an alternative rain location for the performers. Visitor attendance was around 15,000 last year and we anticipate improving this number in 2007, particularly with this new venue!!
We would prefer that arts and crafts be Canadian hand-made and we encourage artists and crafters, where possible, to demonstrate their craft. Displays, tables, booths, chairs, etc. must be supplied and removed by the exhibitors; however, we will have tables available to rent. Each booth area will be approximately 12 feet by 12 feet. Booth assignments will be made based largely on the order in which we receive the completed paid-up applications.
Fees are payable by cheque made payable to the Markham Jazz Festival. Please complete and return the enclosed "Application and Contractual Agreement" form with your payment to the address on this letterhead. By signing this agreement, you agree to be bound by the outlined terms and conditions.
